Commissioned Volunteers: Community Workshops organized in Sirigu and Wiaga

The Sharing Education and Learning for Life (SELL) Programme Ghana’s Commissioned Volunteers of the Navrongo cluster team organized workshops in Sirigu and Wiaga communities in the Upper East Region.

In Sirigu, the workshop focused on the Wisdom of Traditions unit where participants were taken various sessions that opened them up to new learning from their traditions, wisdom and the way they have been influenced by them. They also explored where wisdom resides in their lives, their culture and the world.

In Wiaga, the workshop centered on the Leadership unit. The young people were helped to understand the need for good communication in their lives. They also looked at how power affects their ability to be effective leaders.

The respective workshops took place on May 27-28. Thirty-nine (39) youth participated in Sirigu and thirty-three (33) in Wiaga.
